( here everything)
Rome, November 1979
We are Folk Studio on 2/11/1979, there is the quintet's pianist Patricia Scascitelli, with the saxophonists Larry Dinwiddie (tenor) and Giancarlo Maurino (top), Roberto Della Grotta on electric bass, and driving drummer Marvin Smith Boogaloo.
The sound quality is what it is, being an amateur recording made by technical means regrettable, but it's worth a listen.
This set follows that of Eugenio Colombo and Joseph Martin, I will propose at a future occasion.
Now that I have set the soundtrack, we continue our investigation.
I already told you how I got in touch with the writer accidentally many a tale of Martin Mystère, one of which I have the honor of appearing, cartoon-inspired JLBorges (in this case his Book of Sand and to 'Aleph ) that I was looking for a long time without results. Maybe I also have written that when this happened, I was actually involved in reading the Book of Sand. These are stories written between 1971 and 1975, but one in particular that I was reading was THE PARLIAMENT.
The protagonist of the story is called Alejandro Ferri, and Borges has instilled in him, as often happens, autobiographical references.
None of the readers will be surprised if now assert that Alejandro is my first name, as many know, and for the few skeptics that I enclose my certificate of birth:
Another element that is apparent from a reading of The Parliament is the presence of the protagonist in the hotel on Calle Santiago del Estero, since El's cousin Gloria is back in Buenos Aires from vacation, and lives by the parties of the road in question, it would be interesting if it gave a look around to see if this hotel still exists. About El Gloria (and the fact, recognized that the undersigned is mentioned in the introduction of Name of the Rose), perhaps it is time to publish this photo:
the photographer, the famous blogger The Goli, he has taken during the filming of an episode of the new series of El Santo. The script called for that Adso of Melk (played by me) returns from the past to help Simon Templar (played by El Gloria) in the escape from the Castle d'If.
